What a way to kick off the wedding season! Billie-Ann and Lewis’ big day at the gorgeous riverside Lower Lode Inn in Tewkesbury was everything I love about weddings. Relaxed, personal, and full of laughter.

I joined them for a few hours in the April sunshine to capture all the Key Moments. It was a small and intimate wedding, with just their closest family and friends, which made it feel extra special. You could feel the love in the room. And outside it, too!

DIY Magic & Riverside Vibes

The Lower Lode Inn is such a hidden gem – right by the river with that proper countryside pub charm. It made the perfect backdrop for some chilled-out couple portraits (and we were blessed with the most beautiful golden light). It was my first Wedding this season and it was just perfect to get back into the swing of things.

Billie-Ann and Lewis didn’t just plan their day, they created it. From the cakes to the centrepieces and the room décor, almost everything was handmade by them or their guests. There’s something so lovely about that – seeing everyone pitch in to make the day feel really ‘them’.

Heartfelt Speeches & Hog Roast Heaven

After the ceremony, everyone sat down for speeches and they were funny, heartfelt, anda perfect mix of embarrassing stories and proud tears. Then it was time for the hog roast in the pub’s dining area, which added to the relaxed, rustic atmosphere. Plates were piled high, drinks were flowing, and everyone just kicked back and enjoyed being together.
