I recently had the absolute joy of photographing Alice and Luke’s wedding there, and honestly… I’m still a little bit obsessed

I joined them at the tail end of morning prep, and from the moment I arrived, I knew this day was going to be a belter. It was my first time at Barns & Yard, which is tucked away just outside of Upton upon Severn, and wow – what a spot. Between the beautifully converted barns, the elegant modern touches, and that lakeside view? It’s officially made it onto my list of all-time favourite venues in the Cotswolds.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the main barn, full of windows and gorgeous soft light a stunning space! After the vows, the team at Barns & Yard flipped the space ready for the wedding breakfast – and what a transformation! But before we get to that…

Sun, Smiles & Lakeside Portraits

With the sun shining, guests spilled out onto the terrace by the lake for confetti & the drinks reception – Prosecco in hand, laughter everywhere, and the most chilled, happy vibe. I whisked Alice and Luke away for a few portraits (so many gorgeous backdrops to choose from! ) and we got the group shots done while everyone was still basking in the sunshine. Easy, breezy, and very dreamy!

Then it was time for dinner – They had the cutest little sweetheart table, just them allowing them to just be together take a breather and enjoy every moment.

Wedding Breakfast Goals

Back inside, the barn looked incredible. Alice clearly has an amazing eye for design – every detail was spot-on, from the table styling to the stationery. It was all elegant, modern, and simply gorgeous. Once everyone had tucked into the delicious food (yes, I do judge a wedding menu – this one was top-tier), it was time for speeches. Golden Hour, Cake & Party Time

As the evening rolled in, we nipped out for a few golden hour portraits before the cake was cut and the party kicked off in full swing. First dances were danced, shapes were thrown, and the barn was buzzing with love and good vibes.
